YOU'LL NEED:
For mulling:
- 1 bottle dry red wine (750 mL)
- 1 orange, zested and juiced
- 7 whole cloves
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 3 star anise
- 2 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 cup brandy
For garnish:
- 1 orange, sliced into rounds
- 8 cinnamon sticks
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Combine all mulling ingredients in a large sauce pan over high heat
- Bring to a boil, then reduce to low and let simmer for 10 min
- Serve warm and garnish with an orange slice and a cinnamon stick
