Holiday Sugar Cookie Recipe

 

Did you see the holiday treat in your order this week? We've got the perfect recipe to go with your brand new cookie cutter. And there's something special about this recipe... no need to chill the dough! Happy holidays & happy eating!

 

YIELD: 6 dozen cookies

 

You need:

  • 2 C unsalted butter
  • 2 C granulated white sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp bourbon
  • 2 egg
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 6 C all purpose flour

 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F
  2. Mix butter and sugar until smooth (about 3 minutes) and beat in vanilla, bourbon & eggs
  3. In a separate bowl combine baking powder & flour, then add a little at a time to the wet ingredients
  4. No need to chill the dough! Divide into workable batches & roll out on a flat surface at about 1/4 inch thickness, then cut with cookie cutters
  5. Bake for 6-8 minutes & then let cool on the cookie sheet until firm enough to transfer to a cooling rack
