Recipes with G&G Spice Blends

Having a good assortment of spice blends on hand can make whipping up dinner infinitely easier! Try cooking with our G&G signature spice blends to give your next meal a little extra pizzazz. Here are a some recipes and ideas to get you started!
The Real Dill
G&G’s Southern Spice Blend
Recipe: Creamy Lemon Dill Chicken
Serves 2
You'll need:
- 3/4 cup orzo
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 chicken breasts (about 12 oz total)
- 1/3 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 Tbsp The Real Dill spice blend
- Salt & pepper
Instructions:
- Bring a small pot of salted water to a boil, then add orzo and cook until al dente, about 7–10 minutes
- Heat oil in a medium sauté pan over medium heat
- Season chicken with salt & pepper
- Sear chicken over medium heat until browned on both sides, about 4–5 min, or until 165ºF
- Remove chicken from pan
- To the same pan, add broth and cook until reduced by half, about 2 minutes
- Whisk in cream & The Real Dill spice blend and cook another 1–2 min, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened, then remove from heat
- Slice chicken and serve with sauce & orzo
A couple more ideas...
Make a simple Dill Potato Salad! Mix cubed boiled potatoes with mayonnaise, fresh parsley, The Real Dill spice blend, and a squeeze of lemon. This one is definitely a crowd-pleaser. Or, try a new twist on garlic bread! Slice a baguette in half lengthwise, spread with butter and minced garlic, then top with The Real Dill Spice blend and bake at 350ºF for 10 minutes.
Mint to Be
G&G’s Moroccan Spice Blend
Recipe: Lamb Kebabs
Serves 2
You'll need:
- Wooden skewers
- 1 lb lamb, cubed
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 Tbsp Mint to Be spice blend
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 Tbsp mint, chopped
- 2 Tbsp cilantro, chopped
- 2 Tbsp parsley, chopped
- Salt & pepper
- 2 pitas
Instructions:
- Filled a rimmed baking sheet with water and place wooden skewers in to soak (this will keep them from catching fire while cooking)
- Toss lamb with oil, Mint to Be spice blend, garlic & HALF of lemon zest
- Preheat grill
- Thread lamb cubes onto skewers
- Make herbed yogurt by mixing yogurt, mint, cilantro, parsley, remaining lemon zest, and salt & pepper to taste
- Grill 8–10 min or until desired doneness
- Serve with herbed yogurt & pita
A couple more ideas...
Top your hummus with Mint-to-Be-spiced oil! Whether you make your own hummus or get it from the store, any hummus is immediately elevated by topping it with a mixture of olive oil & our Mint to Be spice blend. Roasting root veggies with oil, salt, pepper, and Mint to Be is a great side dish any roasted or grilled meat.
Sage Advice
G&G’s Tuscan Spice Blend
Recipe: Chicken Burgers
Serves 2
You'll need:
- 8 oz ground chicken (or turkey if you prefer!)
- 1 Tbsp Sage Advice spice blend
- 1 red onion
- 2 slices havarti cheese
- 2 hamburger buns
- 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 2–4 leaves lettuce
- Salt & pepper
- Olive oil
Instructions:
- Mix ground chicken with Sage Advice spice blend, salt & pepper and form into 2 patties
- Cut red onion into thick slices and brush with oil
- Add red onion slices to grill and let cook for 5–7 min on each side
- Grill burgers for about 5–7 minutes on first side, flip, let cook for 3–5 minutes, then add a slice of havarti to each burger and finish cooking for 2 minutes
- Assemble burgers with mayonnaise, tomato slices, lettuce & charred red onion
A couple more ideas...
Toss buttered pasta with Sage Advice and grilled or sautéed mushrooms for a quick and satisfying meal, or kick your next white bean soup up a notch by adding Sage Advice into the mix. All you need to do is sauté diced onions, carrots, celery & minced garlic in oil in a large pot, add the spice blend, salt & pepper, then pour in vegetable broth & white beans and simmer for about 20 minutes.
Good Chives Only
G&G’s Asian Spice Blend
Recipe: Sesame Noodles
Serves 2
You'll need:
- 8 oz lo mein noodles
- 3 Tbsp sesame oil
- 2 Tbsp Good Chives Only spice blend
- 1/2 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp rice wine vinegar
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp cilantro, chopped
- 2 tsp mint, chopped
- 2 Tbsp chili crisp
Instructions:
- Bring a pot of salted water to boil, then add noodles and cook until just done, about 8–10 min
- Heat sesame oil in a small sauté pan, then pour over Good Chives Only spice blend in a small heat-proof bowl and add soy sauce, rice wine vinegar & brown sugar to make sesame dressing
- Drain noodles and transfer to a medium bowl, then combine with sesame dressing & herbs and top with chili crisp
A couple more ideas...
Next time you make chicken wings, add Good Chives Only to your rub! It'll add a little something extra to the flavor. Or, mix it in with a simple shrimp & veggie stir fry.
