A Guide to Atlanta's Farmers Markets

We waited with giddy anticipation through the winter months for the big boom that comes with Spring, and it’s finally here! We aren’t talking about the sunshine or the flowers (although those are nice too) we are talking about ::drum roll:: farmers market season!

Farmers Market season is upon us, folks, and the Atlanta farmers market scene has never been so alive! Early in the season, we have already welcomed some new markets like the Freedom Farmers Market and the Avondale Estates Farmers Market.

In the next few weeks we will welcome back some of our favorite farmers markets, many of which we will be a part of this year. To kick off a great season, here is a list of some of our favorite markets in and around the ATL.

Avondale Estates Farmers Market

When: Sundays 10am to 2pm

Where: Little Tree Art Studio at 2834 Franklin St in Avondale Estates

Opening Day: March 16th, 2014

Brookhaven Farmers Market

When: Saturdays 9am to 1pm

Where: Brookhaven Baptist Church at 1294 N Druid Hills Rd NE

Opening Day: March 29th, 2014

Decatur Farmers Market:

When: Wednesdays from 4pm to 7pm and Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm

Where: Wednesdays at 308 Clairemont Ave in Decatur and Saturdays at 498 N McDonough St in Decatur

Opening Day: Open year round

East Atlanta Village Farmers Market

When: Thursdays 4pm to 8pm

Where: 561 Flat Shoals Ave in East Atlanta Village

Opening Day: April 10th, 2014

East Lake Farmers Market

When: Tuesdays 4pm to sunset

Where: 2343 Hosea L Williams Dr in East Lake

Opening Day: April 15th, 2014

Emory Farmers Market

When: Tuesdays 11am to 3pm

Where: Emory University at Cox Hall Bridge

Opening Day: Open year round, excluding school breaks

Freedom Farmers Market

When: Saturdays 9am to 1pm

Where: The Carter Center at 453 Freedom Pkwy NE

Opening Day: March 1st, 2014

When: Saturdays 9am to 1pm

Where: Piedmont Park near the 14th St entrance

Morningside Farmers Market

When: Saturdays 7:30am to 11:30am

Where: 1393 N Highland Ave (next to Rosebud)
