An apple a day keeps the end-of-summer blues away! It’s time to embrace Fall and all its fabulous flavors Biting into a crisp apple is the perfect snack, but don’t make the mistake of pigeon-holing this delicious fruit into the snack category. Try some of these fun & unique recipes to get your Fall juices flowing.

 

Grilled Apples

Fire up the grill and enjoy the changing weather. Slice apples and toss them with one of the flavor combos below, then throw them on the grill and you’ve got a great snack, side dish or dessert in just a few minutes

 

Sweet: Maple Syrup + Cinnamon + Nutmeg

 

Savory: Balsamic + Rosemary + Garlic

 

 

Stuffed Apples

Apples are the perfect vessel for a sweet or savory filling. Simply remove the core of the apple, leaving the bottom in tact to create a well in the middle of the apple. Mix up one of the combos below and pack it firmly into the well. In a covered baking dish with a little water, bake apples at 375 for 20 minutes then uncover and bake another 20 minutes. 

 

Sweet: Oatmeal + Brown Sugar + Pecans

 

Savory: Quinoa + Raisins + Feta

 

 

Apple Melts

Use apple slices for the ultimate crust-free pizza bites. Cut apples around the equator to make large, round slices then top them with your favorite combination to make delicious bite sized snacks.

 

Sweet: Caramel + Cinnamon + Goat Cheese

 

Savory: Bacon + Gruyere + Onions
