Wine pairings for this week's meal kits are brought to you by Bethany Taylor, a sommelier at Brookhaven Wines. Brookhaven Wines is one of our partner pick up locations–stop in to pick up your G&G order from their shop on Mondays and grab a bottle of wine to go with your meal kits while you're there! Cheers!

Chili Lime Beef Taco Salad

Pair with VinsNus Siur Alta Rouge | Catalonia, Spain ($27.99) - Medium bodied, juicy, crushable, unoaked Grenache with flavors and aromas of wild red berries, crushed granite, and Mediterranean herbs. Serve with a slight chill - especially with spicy food!

Coconut Shrimp Cakes

Pair with Berger Gelber Muskateller | Niederösterreich, Austria ($23.99) - Rose water and citrus zest aromas burst from the glass with a slightly spice undertone. This aromatic wine from Austria has everything you need to stand up to the rich creaminess of the coconut and play well with the citrus and herbal notes of the dish.

Candied BLT Bacon Sandwich

Pair with 2021 Stolpman 'Crunchy Rôastie'' | Ballard Canyon, California ($25.99) - Made from Syrah, selectively picked early while still “crunchy”, with high acidity and lower alcohol. The grapes are un-crushed, using carbonic fermentation to not extract coarse, under-ripe tannin – leaving the wine feathery and chill-able. Fresh, gulpable, simple, American, and tastes like summer - the perfect pairing!

Garlic Basil Chicken

Pair with Caruso e Minini 'Naturalmente' Catarratto ($22.99) - 100% Catarratto from Sicily, Italy. With flavors of white peach and tropical fruits, this fun and fruity white will be the perfect pairing for sweet, summery chicken or fish dish.

Blackened Chicken

Pair with Gönc Winery 'Pour Some Sugar on Me' Gamay | Štajerska, Slovenija $27.99 - 100% Gamay from winemaker Peter Gönc. Aromas of bright red cherry, raspberries, and dark spices. Ripe red and blue berries with fun earthy/ mineral notes mingle on the palate with a hint of smokiness that will play nicely with the spices of the blackened chicken.

Peach BBQ Pulled Pork

Pair with Barahonda Barrica ($18.99) - A blend of 75% Monastrell, 25% Syrah from Yecla, Spain. Rich and smooth with juicy flavors of blueberries, strawberry jam, and a slightly smokey influence. Jammy with low tannins, making this a perfect pairing for roasted or grilled meats with any type of sweet finishing sauce.

Fish & Tomato Vinaigrette

Pair with Gobelsburg Grüner Veltliner ($21.99) - 100% Grüner Veltliner from Kamptal, Austria. This zesty white has flavors of fleshy Bartlett pear and fresh picked lemon that pair perfectly with any light flaky fish or white meat accompanied by hearty green vegetables like broccoli or asparagus.
