#1 Trout

Trout is the star of the show in this week's Lemon Trout with Orzo, Spinach & Celery, which is why this was dubbed the Piedmont Heart Healthy choice of the week. Trout is loaded with omega 3 fatty acids which can help reduce inflammation, bad cholesterol and blood pressure.

#2 Pine Nuts

These seeds, parading as nuts, are packed wtih Vitamins E and K, both of which are great for yoru cardiovascular system. When you get a cut, Vitamin K is the agent that works to make clots to help you stop bleeding. Vitamin E is to thank for helping to make red blood cells, which are needed to move oxygen around your body.
