Eat Salmon for a Healthier You

Health trends come and go but some have stood the test of time, like Salmon. Salmon is always an option you can feel great about on your dinner table. This week's Citrus Baked Salmon is our Personal Trainer's Pick of the week for 3 great reasons:

1. Protein

Just 4 oz of salmon can contain more than 50% of your daily protein goal. That's a lot of bang for your buck! The proteins found in salmon are built from amino acids that help build and maintain muscle mass and boost metabolism. Think of salmon as a support system for all your hard work at the gym.

 

2. Vitamins 

Salmon is loaded with great vitamins and minerals. The high concentration of B vitamins will help you stay energized, while Vitamin D will lend to healthy, happy bones.

 

3. Omega 3 Fatty Acids

Not all fat is created equal. Some fats are our foes, but many fats are our friends like EPA and DHA. These are omega 3 fatty acids. It's essential to get these fats in your diet, since your body can't make them. They help maintain healthy joints & skin, reduce your risk of heart disease and aid in brain function.
