Holiday Spiced Mulled Wine

It's getting chilly out there, and the best way to warm up is with mulled wine! There's enough going on as it is with the holidays right around the corner, so you deserve a cocktail that's easy. Plus, mulled wine is batch-able, meaning it's simple to double the recipe and make in one go. Enjoy, and happy holidays!

YOU'LL NEED:

For mulling:

  • 1 bottle dry red wine (750 mL)
  • 1 orange, zested and juiced
  • 7 whole cloves
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 star anise
  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup brandy

For garnish:

  • 1 orange, sliced into rounds
  • 8 cinnamon sticks

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Combine all mulling ingredients in a large sauce pan over high heat
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce to low and let simmer for 10 min
  • Serve warm and garnish with an orange slice and a cinnamon stick
