Our Top 3 Go-To Garlic Recipes

April 19th is National Garlic Day--and we have to say, we're excited. Garlic is one of our favorite aromatics to cook with, and what better time to share 3 of our go-to garlic recipes with you?
GARLIC CONFIT
serve on top of chicken, mixed with butter & mashed into bread, or mixed in with roasted veggies or pasta
You’ll need:
10 cloves of garlic
½ cup canola oil
Instructions:
- Peel & thinly slice garlic
- Place garlic in a large sauté pan & cover with canola oil & heat over med-low
- Cook for about 3-4 min, or until the garlic starts to soften,then remove garlic from pan with a slotted spoon
LEMON-GARLIC AIOLI
perfect on sandwiches & burgers, as a dipping sauce for fries or raw veggies, or in chicken salad
You’ll need:
1/3 cup mayo
¼ cup sour cream
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp cumin
2 Tbsp lemon juice
Zest of 1 lemon
1 Tbsp parsley
Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Finely chop parsley
- Mix all ingredients together in a bowl
GARLIC-CAPER SNAP PEAS
serve alongside roasted chicken or sautéed shrimp, or eat on their own as an appetizer
You’ll need:
12 oz snap peas
Vegetable or canola oil
3 Tbsp capers
2 tsp minced garlic
Instructions:
- Trim snap peas
- Heat 1 Tbsp oil in a sauté pan over med-hi
- Add snap peas & capers, then sauté 2-4 min (only toss a few times so that they have time to char)
- Add garlic to snap peas & sauté another 1-2 min until they are crisp & just tender
