Recipes for a Successful Tailgate

 

For us, football is synonyms with snack time and what you eat is just as important as what game you watch. Heat things up or cool things down with these two delightful dips.

 

Heat it Up: Buffalo Chicken Dip

You’ll Need:

• 8 oz cream cheese, softened

• 1/2 c Atlanta Fresh greek yogurt

• 1 Tbsp each: cilantro, chives, parsley

• 1/3 c hot sauce

• 1 pasture raised chicken breast

• 4 oz red hill cheddar cheese

Directions:

• Preheat oven to 350

• Cook & shred chicken

• Chop herbs

• Beat together cream cheese, greek yogurt, herbs and hot sauce 

• Fold in shredded chicken

• Spread mixture into greased pie plate

• Bake 10-15 min then top with shredded cheddar & bake another 10-15 min

 

Cool It Down: Roasted Squash Hummus

You’ll Need:

• 2 lbs winter squash, diced & cooked

• 1 Tbsp olive oil

• 1 c chickpeas

• 1 T tahini

• 1 clove garlic

• 1 lemon, juiced

• 1/4 tsp smoked paprika

• 1/8 tsp cumin

Directions:

• In a food processor or blender, all ingredients and a splash of water then blend until smooth, adjusting water as needed
