The Farmer Fund in Action: Crystal Organic Farm

In the spring of 2017, our friends at Crystal Organic Farm incurred significant damage from several tornadoes tearing through Newborn, Georgia. Their high tunnels, seedhouse & hoophouse were devastated, just after their spring planting.

In addition, the rains had seriously eroded the road leading to the back fields making it nearly impossible to pass through. Facing thousands of dollars in structural damage, road erosion, loss of crops & sales, Crystal Organics turned to The Farmer Fund for help to get back on their feet. With a grant of $3,500, thanks to the generous support of the community, Crystal Organics was able to repair the damage and get back to farming!

G&G relies on Crystal Organic Farm for fresh organic produce nearly every single week. We are thankful that The Farmer Fund exists to keep local farms like Crystal up & running when disaster strikes, and that's why we're raising money for The Farmer Fund all month long!
