Typo Market's Gift Guide
Tuesday, November 8, 2022
If you haven't been to Typo Market in Serenbe yet, this is your sign! The holidays will be here before we know it, and Typo is stocked with gifts galore to make the gift-giving season a breeze. Typo Market is a G&G pick up location, which means you can pick up your meal kits and groceries from the shop on Mondays–the perfect excuse to stop in and shop around! If you can't make it in person, Typo also sells online at www.typomarket.com.
Typo Market is a family owned and operated business that was started in 2016 by Susan Hartford and her three daughters. The four of them are together in the photo above–pictured from left to right: Katie Barlow, Shelby Howerton, Susan Hartford, and Jessica Sutton. Jessica, on the far right, is the manager at Typo Market, so you might just see her around if you stop by!
We asked Susan a few questions about Typo, and she gave us some suggestions for the perfect gifts to give this holiday season.
How did the shop get started and where did the name “Typo” come from?
We started out in 2016 in Newnan, GA. Jessica had just moved to Serenbe and we decided it would be a great time to start a retail business. We were originally going to be more focused on all things paper, so Typo Market seemed like a fun name.
What kind of goods do you sell?
We sell gifts for everyone on your list, from candles, children's toys, perfume, kitchen goods, and paper goods, to party supplies, pet toys, and so much more!
What’s your go-to from the shop when you’re looking for a gift?
A candle and matches! (G&G note: Typo has SO many great candle options here on their website!)
Do you have any holiday events coming up at the shop?
We have a Christmas open house scheduled for Saturday, December 3, 2023. We will be giving away treats, will have a craft for the kids, and a drawing for a Typo gift card. All of our holiday goods will be out!
What’s the perfect gift for….
The home cook?
Measuring cups and spoons from Ekobo
The new parent?
Swaddles from Village Baby and wand teethers from Chewable Charm
The plant-lover?
We have many beautiful flower pots and even live plants!
Kids?
Maileg mice and furniture
Teachers?
Little Notes from E. Frances
The dog parent?
Rope leashes from Sassy Woof
The traveller?
Fellow coffee travel mugs
The art lover?
Art prints from Northerly Goods
Follow Typo Market on Instagram here, and check out their website here! You can schedule your next G&G order to be sent to Typo by choosing the pick up option during checkout, or send us an email and we'll take care of it for you. Happy Holidays!
